Quite chaotic but in only the best way. The thrill & energy was at a high. Photographers & videographers snapping at the special guests of the night including Lindy Klim, Kate Peck & Jasmine Garnsworthy. Chandeliers & complimentary drinks escorted the avenue to the runway.
I sat in the media riser for the first time ever & I'll admit, it was quite intimidating but inspiring at the same time. Never thought i'd sight alongside some inspirational fashion photographers.
Flashes here & flashes there of the media shooting bloggers & celebrities. The fashion was unbearable -in a good way. I'll post up some more photo's of the fashion as the days go by.
The tension grew as the lights dimmed down & as the music eased in. Look 1 was a bohemian -multi -patterned gown. The embellishments were blinding. And from look 1 to the final walk, my head was down. I was so drawn to the work of Australian designers such as Betty Tran, Cameo the Label, Swarovski, Haryono Setiadi, Alex Perry, Ixiah, Bianca Spender, Aje, Alice McCall, Emma Mulholland & the list goes on .
A lot of these pieces were designs that had actually already been previewed at MBFWA earlier this year but I didn't get a chance to watch all shows, so in a way, I felt closure. Sounds weird, but I felt a little bit of closure knowing that I've know seen a little something of every designer.
Overall, the show was extravagant! And by that, I mean the detail, the silhouettes, the embellishments, the 'vision'. You can definitely see the aesthetic of each of these brands. Was a such pleasure watching the show.
After the show, everyone strutted down the Town Hall stairs & was confronted by a hall filled with stands. There was a bar, a star lounge, a Maybelline make up stand & even a Redken claw crane!
Every angle that I turned to, I saw smiles & laughter. It's amazing to see how fashion brings people together. It's an event that I recommend that everyone should really attend. Especially if you're crazy for fashion! You can't miss this! The experience was amazing.. & to think, it's only night one!
