Who am I?
My name is Rebecca Alonzo & I’m an eighteen-year –old fashion-marketing student at Raffles College of Commerce & Design living in Sydney, Australia.

I first started blogging a few years ago when I was in year 10 through a different url. I was inspired by the first bloggers I had ever discovered & they were Victoria Tornegren & Angelica Blick.

Living Life in the Front Row first started as Thee Fashion Whisperer a year ago. But from HSC last year, I hadn’t had the time to often post up on here. My blog represents my new life. My life after high school. It’s my adventure & journey of bringing my dreams to life.

What do I do?
Well, apart from being a student & blogger, I was the PR for Lucid Label but stepped down recently. In my spare time I love to style myself  & find inspiration for DIY projects. I love to watch fashion shows from all continents just to remind myself how great fashion is.

Also, I have my designing days. I have those moments where I’ll pull out a sketchbook &… sketch! I want to do journalism above all though. I want to teach people that fashion has meaning. It’s art. When you look at a garment, you best believe that there’s a story behind it. History too!

Where do I see myself?
Fashion has become who I am. From sketching in class to attempting endless DIY projects at home to watching the Elie Saab SS14 show instead of studying for the HSC last year or even learning that my grandmother use to design & create garments for the President & the first lady when she lived in Nicaragua. It’s in my blood!

Because of that, I see myself developing the fashion industry in Australia. On a global scale, we’re not profoundly recognised for our fashion. It’s not as extravagant or luxurious as France or Italy but it’s because it’s not appreciated enough here. I want to fix that. I know there’s potential in Australia & I’m going to prove it to the world. This is why I'm so excited to get my new camera! I'll be roaming around Sydney to capture the fashion & individuality that some people take for granted.
