Fashion Weekend Sydney 2014

One of the best Fashion events in Sydney! Fashion Weekend was even better than last year's. It just gets better & better. Fashion weekend was a 4 day event (from the 15th to the 18th of May) for moi as I was interning for Lucid with head designer, Joyce Li. I spent Thursday, Friday & Saturday with Lucid therefore gained free entry for those days. It was exhausting but at least I got to wear Lucid designs! Sunday was my favourite day though. It was a day of stimulation. Stimulating the economy, to be precise. I got free entry for Sunday as well because of my complimentary ticket from the Ae'lkemi gift bag at fashion week this year. It feels good to see people come together to celebrate fashion. Above are some simple snaps of the designs I gathered this year. Designs ranged from Mok Theorem, Kahlo, By Johnny, Wish & Silent Assembly.

One of my favourite parts of the day was Christopher Haggarty approaching me because he remembered me from Fashion Week.
But to top it all off, I met Michael Lo Sordo. One of my favourite Australian designers. I can't believe the number of people that just walked past him because they didn't know who he was. I had an amazing conversation with him & he hooked me up with a $25 Kahlo top. What a beautiful soul! I watched the show from the front row & was able to appreciate all the finer detail that camera's can capture. The runway show was quite honest although the styling could've been executed better. Also, adding onto my collection, more stone & mineral pieces. At the end of the day, as my friend  & I were leaving the venue, we were stopped by one of the volunteers. She gave us the Shop bag for free. It was such a coincidence because I was going to buy one. The best part of the bag was receiving the Harper's Bazaar beauty issue. I already had a copy of this issue of Elle so I was quite disappointed but two is always better than one! I am not whatsoever a fan of Cosmopolitan, Cleo & New Weekly magazine. I'm the kind of magazine obsessor when it comes to purely "fashion". I can't stand gossip! I don't mind Shop. But I admire the magazines that revolve around the world of fashion. The good stuff, you know?
