Whose insides tickle when they hear the word "thrifting"? I know mine do! I know, I know. Thrifting isn't for everybody anyway. I guess it's more for those who wouldn't mind second hand, one of a kind, vintage designs. Being from Sydney, my favourite place to thrift is on Crown St. If you've been before, then you'd know why I love thrifting but if you haven't been before, please please check it out. You will not regret it. It's filled with labels from the 20's, the 50's, the 90's.
Did I mention that they're at bargain prices? I found at least 3 genuine Yves Saint Laurent, Versace & Balenciaga tops all under $60. Now, the key secret to successful thrift shopping is having an open mind.That way you can openly appreciate, observe and analyse the designs. I know that this YSL cardigan isn't everybody's cup of tea & it wasn't when I first saw it. But you must ALWAYS find the potential in a garment no matter how unappealing it may seam. It all comes down to how YOU style a garment which can make it look amazing. Don't be scared to try new things! That's what fashion's all about.
